April has been the start of news that I’ve been expecting for over a decade. Interracial marriages are becoming more accepted, more prolific, and it will literally change the face of America by 2050. We’ll cover that in a subsequent article, but there was some data included in the news article that revealed which states are seeing the highest occurrence of interracial marriages:

So for all you ladies and gentlemen wondering which states are and will be friendly to interracial relationships, this is your most updated and definitive guide, so make sure you bookmark.
The segment of black interracial marriage is interesting as well, since it looks like the majority of black/white marriages (51%) are happening in the southern region of the country–in fact the majority of ALL interracial marriages are happening in the south (39%)!! Looks like the South is rising, but who woulda thunk it would rise this way? Knock me over with the feather two times fast.
Part of me believes that the increase of interracial marriage between 2008 and 2010–and which appears to be the largest jump for all races included in the study–is due in part to more black women intermarrying. If you’ve noticed more mixed couples with this combination, you’re not just seeing things–its happening, ladies and gents. What’s more, this data isn’t even that new…it was released two years ago, so I suspect these numbers are even higher. And when even more specific and current data is revealed by gender that black women intermarrying has gone up for nine percent to….???…just watch the response from the GAT-DL. It will be epic.
