Two things I love to do is laugh and listen to music. Because I love to laugh, I love going to comedy shows. And although I love music, occasionally I enjoy hip hop music. What I find is that many African American Comedians and Hip Hop music entails the use of the n-word. It’s as if they wear that word like it’s their badge of honor. I cannot stand that word so bad, that it makes my skin crawl when I hear it. My question is, how to deal with the use of the n-word by others (stand up comedians, movies, music and family or friends) while being in an interracial relationship?
