When I was a kid, we made a lot of road trips to Texas by way of Arizona to New Mexico. By far, it’s some of the most beautiful country I’ve ever seen. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen the purple, reds and pinks of a New Mexico sunset against the gorgeous mountain range.
The colors I’m wearing in post remind me of the beauty of nature…breathtaking, isn’t it?
Yesterday’s post was all about using the new Urban Decay Vice 3 ($60.00 and in my opinion worth every penny) palette conservatively for day and work. But today it’s all about impact!
Get the look
Step One:
Prime your lids. I’m using Urban Decay Anti-aging Shadow primer. Fill in the lower lid and along the orbit of the eye with REVOLVER.
Then, apply FREEZE directly on top of REVOLVER.
Step Two: Fill in mid lid (above the orbital and between the brow bone) with ALCHEMY; and then finish with BOBBY DAZZLE just below your eyebrows and along the brow bone. Then blend, blend, BLEND! You want the finished look to resemble a gradient.
Step Four: Apply black liquid eyeliner along the upper lid right about your eyelashes and pencil liner along your lower lid.
Step Five: For maximum impact, add some artificial lashes. In my completed look, I’m wearing “Katy Perry” Lashes from Eylure. The company sent me several of their products to try and I’m loving them so far. They’re so easy to apply and look so natural that my friends on Facebook were asking me if they’re real…
Best of all, they’re reusable and at $6.99, they’re affordable too. You could probably get Thanksgiving, that office Christmas party, and a New Year’s Eve party out of just one pack. I absolutely adore this look…so feminine…
As you all know, if I wear a really dramatic eye I’ll go light on the lips. I’m wearing BETTINA Velvet Matte Lip Pencil by NARS.
