As you can see from the digs around here, you probably can tell I love purple. I love the color, but…it doesn’t always love me. I find that certain shades don’t look great against my skin, but when I find some that do, I get a little giddy. Check out my new Milani Eyeshine look, complete with brows and lipstick that costs less than $25!
It’s so pretty, ya’ll. So feminine. At first I had a little trouble with the Eyeshine at first, because the application has to be done with the silicone applicator and not my beloved makeup brushes. But now I’ve got the hang of it I’m hooked! This is so beautiful…and my baby girl said I look like a fairy.
And while I’m no stranger to Sephora and it’s sky-high prices on cosmetics (many of them justified, but some not so much) it’s nice to know that drugstore cosmetics are upping their game to make it easier on our pocketbooks.
Get the Look
I’m officially giving my my expensive eyebrow kit and trading it for Milani’s in 03 DARK. It’s only $7.99 and works just as good. Seriously. While it contains a brush, applicator sponge and tweezers, it’s too small for my taste. They look cute in there, though. I guess I might use it in a pinch.
Milani Fierce Foil Eyeshine, 02 ROME, $9.99
Getting the hang of this stuff, no question does it look gorgeous when applied correctly. It works better for me when I don’t use a primer, actually. With the product, it’s best to work with the natural sebum on your eyelids, not against it.
Milani Matte Glam Lipstick, 65, $5.99
The lipstick gives nice pigment, and works just as well as many of my more expensive lipsticks. I used this color to outline my lips and then filled it in with a pink shimmer lip gloss.
