But what we do know is that Bobbi Kristina faced an uphill battle as the offspring of two parents who struggled with substance abuse and dysfunction.

This is so very sad. It’s also a lesson to parents–saying “Do as I say, not as I do” not only makes you a hypocrite, but a crappy ass example.
