I just received an email from David, who emailed me a picture of his wife of two years. They met in Arkansas. ARKANSAS. They met…on our Facebook fan page.
He’s cute!!! I’m a little jelly about those long natural locks tho…whatchu using girl? 😉
And then, here’s Lasha, who met her very cute boyfriend on our G+ page.
This is just two examples of how social media and the internet have fueled the explosion of black women dating and marrying interracially. Why? It’s all about proximity, exposure and breaking down barriers. I’m convinced that if someone conducted a study to track the timeline of the rise of internet dating sites and specialized online communities, they would be a clear link to the rather sharp rise in black women dating and marrying interracially within the last decade.
So if you’re new here, you need to become a Facebook fan, apply for admission to our G+ group (currently we’re looking for men, who will get priority entry), check out my #1 recommended interracial dating site, InterracialDatingCentral.com, and buy the book I wrote especially for you, Swirling: How to Date, Mate and Relate, Mixing Race, Culture and Creed.
Yes; they want you. They want you if you’re thin. They want you if you’re plus sized. They want you natural. They want you weaved, wigged, or buzzed. They want you if you’re dark. They want you if you’re light. They want you.
