TLC’s Chilli is making the black media headlines because she stepped out of formation to tell black women they need to step out of racial prison and date out. The idea that Chilli made this announcement is overshadowed by the fact that she even has to make it. Despite all the challenges, most black women are still so resistant to trying something new. It’s news because Chilli said the emperor has no clothes and folks are losing their minds.
