Le sigh. By now, if you haven’t heard of poor Amber Cole and the video that will now blemish her life from 14 years-old till Jesus calls her home, you must NOT be on Twitter. I won’t show the gratuitous picture of this child on her knees, performing oral sex on her school mate while two or three onlookers watched on, and made a video that will follow her for the rest of her life. But there is no do over. It is done. And millions upon millions have now seen her in the most exploitative and compromising position.

Tell me, is this what the “slut-walkers” want women to be free to do?

I’m sorry; that wasn’t completely fair. So I’ll give 50% off. The other half is a hard truth: Of course you’re free to have sex as you please–even as a minor. But this is America, and people are also free to exploit your mistake from one corner of the Internet to the other.

No doubt this child has no idea the magnitude of the mistake she’s made. When she submitted sexually to a boy who didn’t anywhere NEAR deserve it, I bet she never knew that he would forever be emblazoned, if not in her mind, on You Tube.

This is what BWE fights against, and I don’t give a crap what ANYONE says, we need to stand up for this girl. I wish I could have told her that she is more than just a sperm receptacle–my God, Maxi-Me is just six months younger, and I couldn’t imagine. Where is the freedom, when this girl will probably never outlive this humiliation that she had no forethought to consent to? Where is the rallying cry from anyone? to protect this girl? I mean, no doubt black women will be clucking their tongues about how fast the girls are these days and giving those bad ass boys a pass.

They’ll blame the mom. But probably not the dad.

Because the mom is supposed to do everything, right? Who needs a man, because hey! children of single parents turn out fine.
