Meet Sharifa “MsKibibi” Jarrett is the founder of KibibiHair.com, and author of The 5 Hair Archetypes: Your Guide to Growing Long Hair.

How they met:

We met on my birthday in May. I was wearing a tiara and sash because of course why not haha. He came up to congratulate me on getting married. I told him it was my birthday and replied well good bc I was going to say don’t marry the guy. Then he said he’d like to take me out. I replied “sure if you call and ask me out properly like a gentleman.” He called me two days later.

He left for a month long vacation in Europe 2 weeks after our first date. But he kept in touch via whatsapp and FaceTime while he was there. When he got back from his trip, he called me from the airport right after he called his mom.

Got to love how she established from the beginning that he was to treat her like the lady she was. Kudos, girl!
