Since Many Of You Have Asked….What’s Going On With My Hair…

I’ve been getting this question a lot lately: “Chris! Your hair is so thick and healthy looking! What are you doing?!”

Philip B Hair

Like my curls? I have to thank Philip B for them. Just purchased the Philip B Curly hair styling kit from Gilt.com at a discount (normally this line with wacky crazy expensive) along with the other items in the Philip B line I’d bought previously–the White Truffle shampoo, Katira Hair Masque, and the Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Creme rinse (got these on special at another online fire sale site, Hautelook.com.

I purchased this set:

The standout stars are the Lovin’ Leave-in Conditioner, styling gel, and Anti-Frizz Formula. All three are SUPER moisturizing, helps with detangling, gives you amazing curl definition, and smell DELICIOUS. I’m not a fan of the Maui Wowie Beach Mist. It left my hair feeling crunchy and on the dry side. Still, I bought another set because I’m loving the three other items. Even days later, and in this dry Southern California weather, my hair remained soft and felt moisturized. It’s on sale on Gilt for $36 for the next two weeks, so buy it up while you can. The regular price would be $109.

Every night I re-twist my hair in eight large twists. I spray a little water, a little bit of the leave in conditioner and the anti-frizz serum and it comes out looking like this:

Mind you, my hair is fine, and on the thin side. But you wouldn’t know it from looking at it now. I just took this picture yesterday.

As far as what I’m doing on the inside to my hair, I’m following a paleo-like diet, no refinded sugars and carbs, lots of lean proteins. I drink lots of water and I’m taking collagen supplements. I was a bit skeptical about whether they work or not, but I had a thin spot at the crown of my hair a few months ago that is now completely gone.

I highly recommend this…

Description:
A patented complex designed to support the collagen production of your skin. Collagen is the most integral part of the skin’s fabric, giving your skin and your complexion the elasticity and glow of youth. Collagen, a mesh-like structure is the most abundant protein found in the skin. It naturally forms a system to support the skin as well as encourage new cellular growth. As we age our production of collagen declines and the internal supportive mesh weakens, leaving our skin flaccid and lackluster. Collagen Booster ensures that your skin has the premium nutritional support to restore itself so that it looks radiant and is soft and silky to the touch.*

I also have seen a marked improvement in my skin…it glows. This stuff really works. I first tested the ReserveAge products at this year’s Natural Product Expo, so I’ve been using their line exclusively since early March.

So NOW my two favorite hair care lines are Alterna Caviar and Philip B. If you’re looking for something less expensive, the Shea Moisture line works well for curlies. But to be honest, my hair, like my skin is a major priority for me, especially since I’m only a month or so away for the big 4-0. I don’t skimp on what works. So I pay the money, and get really happy hair.
