I braved the rain, sleet and (no)snow to go to The Makeup Show LA because that JUST how dedicated I am that you never, ever, ever leave this site. No need to go to Essence, Cosmo, or Vogue. I aim to be the Wal*Mart of the black women’s blog world, minus that messy employment discrimination stuff.

David Hernandez, a pro specialist with Make Up Forever unveiled several new items that reflect the current make up trend: Color, color, and…did I say color? And I don’t mean browns, reds and beige–we’re talking bold Crayola colors. These items haven’t even been released yet, so you heard it here first.

So what do ya’ll think? You going bold for spring? Honestly, I have mixed feelings. These colors remind me of my kids’ Easter egg basket. I talked to David offline about the yellow–a color I just…and well, he told me I shouldn’t dismiss it. He says it looks WONDERFUL on dark skin.
