For only $10 a month Birchbox, a monthly subscription service, sends you samples of beauty products every month. August 2013 was my first month as a subscriber and the following is what I received in my box:
Avène Thermal Spring Water-This product is to be used as a refreshing mist for the face. I used this product on several occasions and it never left my face feeling dry after use. I can see someone using this product on a humid day to cool down.
Dr. Jart+ Premium BB Creme SPF 45+–I haven’t used this product yet. I went into Sephora a week or two ago and used their Color IQ. According to Sephora, Color IQ identifies my Color IQ number and then uses that number to determine the best type of foundation for me out of the 1500 or so foundation formulations available in their store. Since I’ve been happy with my Sephora product that I haven’t gotten around to trying anything else.
Jasmine Seven™ Fresh Feet Wipes and Secret Agent Beauty Secret Lip Affair are two other products that I haven’t gotten around to yet. The wipes are to wipe your feet down between shoe changes, or after a day running around in flip flops. According the maker of Jasmine Seven, the product is pretty useful for wiping down kids’ fee too. And the lip gloss? I haven’t tried it either. Lip Affair is a high shine gloss and I don’t like my lips glossy; my favorite lip colors are matte.
Glee Gum–It’s sugar-free and has no artificial ingredients! So if enjoy gum chewing but avoid gum because of its sugar content, you might want to try Glee. The gum was bit-sized and square-shaped, I popped all of them into my mouth at the same time. The gum tasted good. I can definitely see myself buying this product again.
Do you subscribe to Birchbox or any other subscription-based beauty service? Have you tried any of these products before? What were your thoughts about these products?
