I wrote about this cutting edge trend last year and it is still going strong. The black and white trend first found traction in the fashion world in the 1920s. They made a comeback in the futuristic 60’s and the self-indulgent 80s. Now, they are making their rounds again, and I have a feeling they will be around a while.
These opposite colors have a way of softening and balancing each other. They are fresh, classic yet trendy and definitely a great way to liven up you closet. Who says opposites don’t attract? In this case, you may attract many things when you are pairing these two colors, especially attention.
Here are a few ways you can pair black and white without breaking the bank.
Tuxedo Stripes
Try pairing white tuxedo pants with a dot top to make the pairing more flirty instead of dressy. Add a few statement jewelry pieces and this graphic print purse for a fashion forward ensemble.
Check Mate
A checkered pattern can be very flattering on all body types if worn correctly. Make sure you cinch in the waist with a medium sized belt and add these cute flats to bring the outfit together. Add a pop of color with your accessories and bouffant your hair to channel your 60s siren. 🙂
