Fall is fast approaching as we prepare our wardrobes to accommodate the cooler days, especially after a record breaking hot summer.
Autumn is my favorite season and I absolutely love the colors involved. Rich jewel tones, vibrant wine and navy colors. Not to mention the fabrics, tweed, heavier cottons and for some wool.
This season is no different and the trends are absolutely stunning. This fall the fashion is taking the spring trends and dragging them to the dark side.
This is the beginning of a four part series that I will be doing on Fall fashion. The first trend that I look forward to wearing is called “Britain’s Best.” It is a mix of the fabrics and prints that Britain is known for, such as tweed, plaid (tartan), argyle and houndstooth. Granted, most of these patterns come from Scotland, but since Scotland is a part of the greater United Kingdom, Britain has indeed co-opted them.
I’ve been in love with this trend as far back as I can remember. I think I may have a naughty Catholic school girl living inside me.
Without further ado, here are few ways you can incorporate these lovely prints into your wardrobe. Don’t be afraid to mix it up either.
