Be ready to adapt to how his family has fun.
When my family gets together, music and dance are normally involved. Take a cue from my Italian ex-boyfriend, the first man to accompany me home for Thanksgiving. My sister had bought a karaoke machine, my brother provided the 90’s jams, and we put on a full blown impromptu concert. My ex-Italian didn’t just sit watching us with his mouth open (not that I’d have blamed him. We wilded the hell out that night!). He grabbed his phone, and snapped a series of unforgettable pics. He sent them to us the next day. My siblings still remember him fondly, and we get a good chuckle every time we pull those pics out. Even if you don’t play ball, or dance (like The Ex-Italian) find some way to take part in what’s happening in the moment.
