Take a look. And loooong look…
What you see is the byproduct of a vitamin cocktail I’ve been taking for months that has increased the thickness and fullness, but…not really sure about the length, because I’m not using heat.
I’ve done a post a few years ago, and all my recommendations still apply, with a few reiterations and additions.
It’s the #1 top-selling hair vitamin in the country because this formula works, and they’ve done actual studies to prove it. I take it because it contains important vitamins like Biotin and minerals like Zinc. It also has a proprietary marine complex that includes shark!
Love this stuff! It’s not just a hair vitamin, it’s a healthy skin vitamin. It contains silica, MSM, collagen, B-6, Selenium, Copper (helps keep the grey away), Hyaluronic Acid (plumps the skin), Alpha Lipoic Acid, and a bunch more really, really good stuff. This is so complete you could almost use it as a daily vitamin all on it’s own. I also love that this company is black-owned, and I love supporting this family’s enterprise.
This one contains Chlorophyll, Manganese, and more B vitamins. The chlorophyll is a great detoxifier as well, and helps control not-so-sweet body odors. It also contains L-Lysine, which is beneficial to the body’s protein production.
In addition to the vitamins, I’ve become really cognizant of keeping my hair routine as low manipulation as possible. I wash only once a week, and either air dry or blow dry on low heat. On sunny days I just lay out on a blanket and read a book until it dries to damp so I keep some body before I style. And as much as I LOVE my afro, I keep it in buns and large twists most of the time.
