I can not believe this. Marissa Alexander, the woman who fired a warning shot at her husband and received a 20-year prison sentence that was later overturned, has allegedly violated the conditions of her bond that allowed her to be released from prison. She was supposed to stay her arse home unless of a medical emergency, and it turns out that she’s been leaving the house repeatedly to “run errands.” As a result, a motion has been filed to revoke her bond. And I say if this is indeed true, then I won’t feel not a flick of pity for her if she returns to prison while she awaits a new trial.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A motion was filed by State Attorney Angela Corey to revoke the bond of Marissa Alexander.
As a condition of her release, Alexander was to remain on home detention, however the motion sites numerous times she allegedly left her home to run errands.

Jamila wrote a piece about Alexander a while back and got harsh criticism from some folks. I’m curious about what they might think about this recent development. Perhaps it was this kind of hard-headedness that got her caught up with the back-and-forth with the man that got her in this mess in the first place.
Why in the hell would this woman RISK her reprieve from prison so she can run to get some milk or catch the sale at Macy’s? We have to be very careful who we stand up for. Again, if this is true, what excuse could Mrs. Alexander have for REPEATEDLY violating the terms of her release on bond? And how many minions of the GAT-DL will come out to defend her? I’ll wait. I know they’re coming.
