Now that you’re ready to hurl yourself out of a window because, like me, you consume 35,000 calories on Thanksgiving with two more holidays to go in which there will be parties and possible flirting…and stuff, you might be wondering how you might camoflauge that sparkling wine belly you’re developing or that food-baby you’ve got incubating. You can at least minimize that bulge when you slink into the clingly holiday dress with a waist cincher.
I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with girdles and cinchers, because I find that many of the makers of such contraptions are really sadists, what with all the piping, or flimsy material that rolls up, for parts that poke into my stomach or sides. Up until recently I ALWAYS had a belly (that was before I became a paleo head) so my drawers are full of shapewear that doesn’t work or ill-fits.
However I’ve been pleasantly surprised by a product sent to me by Leonisa Lingerie: the High Waist Slimming Cincher. Made of 82% Polyamide and 18% Elastane, the material clings close to the skin, but is moveable and comfortable. There is no stiff piping or pointy parts to stick into your soft middle, and if sized right, it won’t roll up when you sit down or bend over. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that is have about 1,000 snaps. Just kidding, but there’s a lot of them, and if you miss one it shows an obvious protrusion.
As shapewear goes the price is pretty standard at $40.00. BUT! They’re having a special right now at you can receive 25% off with the code, 25CYBER.
