I achieved this look by parting my hair in eight sections, twisting each section, and then then rolling them with soft rollers. I always dampen my hair before I twist, and as I’ve mentioned before, I love Philip B pH Resotrative Detangling Toning Mist. It’s a combination of apple cider vinegar (you can smell it, but it fades when dry) which balances the pH of the hair, plus a multitude of oils, including olive oil, sesame seed oil, peanut oil, sweet almond oil, lavender oil, I could go on and on. Of course you can get all this stuff yourself and make it, but not before you spend a fortune on all those oils. The Philip B detangler lays my hair down and adds water-based moisture, and then I follow up with an water/oil based cream, like AsIAm Naturally Double Butter Cream Rich Daily Moisturizer, or Beautiful Curls Shea Butter Curl Activating Cream for Curly to Kinky Hair, or CURLS Whipped Cream.
Now back to Philip B: This stuff is expensive, and the detangling spray is usually $30. It’s on sale TOMORROW MORNING on Hautelook for $15. The sale starts at 8:00 AM PST/11:00 EST. Click here and get it while supplies last. Hautelook sales are time sensitive…it’s like a Kmart Special fire sale.
Happy shopping!
