I have no idea when the wanderlust begin or what prompted it all I know is that since my Navy days I have yet to stop moving. I get to a new place and my feet begin to itch again. Wandering and desiring to experience new and exotic lands.

During the Renaissance and ancient times, explorers were seen as the cornerstone of society and living abroad for a year or few was a birthright for the elite. Today, our societies have created an environment culturally and professionally that frown on those who move often or travel and live abroad. However, in these uncertain times where the world is no longer world’s apart, where you could be in a foreign country just by logging in, it is more imperative that we experience and foster cross cultural relations.

Hence I have began a new project attached to my Lattes and Lipstick brand that does just that. Wonderlust is a play on on the words “wonder” and “wanderlust” implying that to travel leaves you in wonderment and gives you an experience that most never get a chance to have because of fear or circumstances. Its great to write your own story but that is a limited to view on life outside of your comfort zone so this blog promotes other people’s stories and experiences as well as information on languages, culture, food, life abroad and how to’s.

This is where you come in. If you are a person who was born in one country and have moved to or lived in another for a period time then I need you. If you are a person who travels often to different countries, I also need your story.

I am looking for is a picture of you , and a picture or two of the place you are a living in now or have lived in or traveled to in the past. I also need a 2-3 paragraph bio on where you are from, why you left to explore, and how you did it. If you are a traveler I need info on where you’ve been, where you plan to go and where you are now.

I am so excited about this project. Eventually I will have up an interactive map pin pointing all the profile but that is going to cost me. Plus links on where to learn languages, study abroad programs, work abroad programs and anything I can find on moving and living abroad. It won’t be just for Americans but for everyone who finds themselves living in a foreign country. It is a tool that I hope will connect people and consciousness.

Although, I have returned from Italy, I am plotting my escape once again and I look forward to sharing that with you all in the future.
