It’s a big feat, and I’m hoping with all my might that my friend, Lenny McAllister will win the congressional seat that has opened since Jesse Jackson Jr. stepped down and his shenanigans have been exposed. With all the ills going on in Chicago, don’t you guys think it’s time for someone with some sort of moral compass to step up? Me too.

Let me tell you a little something personal about Lenny. He was one of the few black men who stepped up to blog, endorse and promote No Wedding No Womb. He used all of his platforms–he helped put us on the map. He didn’t know me from Adam, but believed in the mission–to call awareness to and find solutions to the HUGE out-of-wedlock rate in the black community–that he joined us against so much ridiculous opposition. For that, he will forever have my admiration and respect. Besides, with the all the lost in Chicago it probably wouldn’t hurt to have a leader in place who actually cares about his people and not just in it to line his pockets with cash.

Lenny is also brave. During the first round of NWNW I asked a politician who was running for Congress in Brooklyn. I thought he was a great fit because he’d previously written about the fatherhood problem in the black community. But he was too afraid to join us for fear he might offend his constituency. He even called me personally to beg me not to post a link to his previous article because he was so afraid of backlash. He didn’t win, so now he’s a coward and a loser. Lenny is a man who will stand upon his principles and not be too namby-pamby to speak the truth, even if it’s not all warm and cuddly.

Lenny is running as a Republican, which might be tough, considering the liberal black borg collective is pretty strong around those parts. I can only hope that some critically-thinking people will be disgusted enough to make a change. Jesse Jackson Jr. and his wife have pillaged the community they claim to love and represent. He is accused of spending over $750,000 (three quarters of a million dollars) for the following:

Among the items that Jackson is accused of purchasing with campaign funds:
–$10,000 worth of Bruce Lee Memorabilia. (What in the natural cuss??)
–More than $20,000 in Michael Jackson memborabilia.

–Martin Luther King Memorabilia.
–Fur coats and capes and more.

This man is no better than the prosperity pimps like Eddie Long and Creflo Dollar. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!! They are only in the game to rape and pillage! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN??!

Then he makes it plain:

“The diverse people of the Second Congressional District, from conservative Kankakee County to the proud people of the South Side of Chicago that I regularly called family as a member of WVON, demand and deserve a true statesman that connects with and serves the full diversity within the district, not more career politicians that will only pander to their special interests and machine agendas. These hard-working Americans require a representative that has a record at the local, national, and international levels of advocating for justice, holding all sides accountable for the sake of improving communities within the Second District and America across our rich diversity, even when it is unpopular, uncomfortable, or unwise from a selfish perspective. After all, justice, prosperity, and advancement are selfless and have no partisan labels or no permanent allies. They only have permanent goals for a better future for us all. Therefore, it’s time for bipartisan accountability and accessibility. It’s finally time for well-rounded results for the constituents of the district moving forward.”

Time to  take a stand, Chicago. Stop letting the crooks run the place. Let someone with some integrity have a shot for once. Stop giving your votes to Democrats who think you’re too stupid to work effectively for you. STOP. THINK. And VOTE for Lenny McAllister.
