Reading the headlines (aka my Facebook timeline) and lo and behold, yet another woman is being ‘skinny shamed’ by the ‘fat shaming’ folks who are mad because fit women display their hotness for everyone to see. Apparently some folks think skinny chicks should wear burqas on Instagram. SHEESH! From Yahoo:

Is the post-pregnancy body the new weapon of choice among super-fit women? Yes, charge critics of Norwegian soccer wife and fitness blogger Caroline Berg Eriksen, who posted a flat-stomach, bra-and-panties selfie to her 245,000 Instagram followers just four days after giving birth.

“This is not a selfie. This is an act of war,” writes one Australian blogger in response to the image — just one of many blogs, news outlets, body-image experts and social-media commenters around the world to weigh in on the matter in the past few days, putting the photo at the center of a major online body-image controversy. “This whole situation has become ludicrous. The competition for women to give birth and then immediately remove any trace from their their bodies that they ever carried a child is OBSCENE. There is no other word for it.” Another blogger calls the photo of Eriksen, who is married to pro soccer player Lars-Kristian Eriksen, “wildly provocative.”

Eriksen posted the photo of herself on Instagram, along with the caption, “I feel so empty…4 days after birth,” igniting the online backlash. Twitter users call Eriksen and her washboard-abs “intimidating,” “unhelpful,” “obviously a freak,” and “unfair to all women.”

Wait. Did that chick just say that skinny selfies are an act of war? WHAT THE CUSS IS WRONG WITH THESE FOLKS!! Look here, as a mother of four kids I NEVER looked like that four days after giving birth, but I’m not crying in my soup because the Frue chick does. Can’t all these whiners see that THEY are doing the exact same thing they accuse others of doing? Who said that famous quote, “The oppressed become the oppressors?”

SHAME ON YOUR FOR MAKING ME FEEL BAD FOR BEING FATTER THAN YOU!

HOW DARE YOU DRAW ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT YOU WORK OUT AND I GET WINDING AFTER CLIMBING HALF A FLIGHT OF STAIRS?!

I’m almost four years in to this blog thing and I have to say that I’m seeing more and more whining and complaining, folks insisting the sky isn’t blue but brown with purple sparkles, that all statistics and life experience is “problematic” if it makes anyone feel bad…I could go on and on. JUST STOP IT!! What is wrong with this woman being proud? She didn’t proclaim with snark, “What’s your excuse?” All she did was post a dag-gum photo. I’m sorry, but this new white-woman agenda for fat acceptance is bordering on the absurd.
