I got turned on to this more natural-textured hair enhancement by one of my You Tube subscribers. She’s a model and love big, bodacious hair.
There’s so much judgment and denigration of black women who wear weave by people who can’t seem to be pleased. The comments are often, “WELL, THAT HAIR LOOKS LIKE A WHITE GIRL!!!” But what about hair that looks more like ours? It that okay, or…?
Who cares what they think! So over it…
But I must admit, I love textured hair pieces, because it adds fullness to the hair and reduces the manipulation of your own hair so that it’s stronger, longer, and healthier.
One such company is Curl Sistas, and it’s my first order for clip-ins with a natural, 4a-type texture similar to my own.I thought it would be a nice touch to patronize on Black Friday, and boy am I glad I did. Their customer service was amazing. They wrote a thank-you note!! The hair comes in a box with a satin baggie in it to maintain the quality of the hair.
All their products are 100% virgin human hair, so you can pretty much treat it like your own. Complementary with each purchase is The CurlSistas Guide to DIY Natural Hair Products which is such a cool thing to give away for free.
The downside of all of this is that all sales are final, so what you buy is what you’re stuck with–which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you choose the right clip ins for your hair texture. What is more, the pretreat all the hair: “We want to make your lives a little easier, so all hair has been washed with a clarifying shampoo, conditioned, detangled and then deep conditioned by our team so that you can enjoy your CurlSistas Hair right out of the box! We love ya! : )”
I’m glad I purchase the Chima 14inches, because it’s the closest to my hair’s length and texture, so no one except my immediate family could really tell the difference.
So here’s my review.
