Actress Tika Sumpter posted a gorgeous photo of her and her HUSBAND, Nicholas James on Instagram. One commenter retorted, “Bedwenching as usual! ?” Interesting. Tika became pregnant with her first child before marriage, and the father of her child legitimized their relationship and their child by doing what MOST MEN of other cultures do–MARRY THE MOTHERS OF THEIR CHILDREN. Is it bedwenching to merge your life with a man who holds such a value system? Would Tika but a “true sista” if she got knocked up by a black guy and never expect to be a wife? And let’s be honest…as beautiful and Tika is (she legit has a doll face) black men are checking for the chocolate sisters like that. Statistics back this up.

In both of these cases, I see two gorgeous black women living wonderful, exciting and fulfilling lives. Their faces are free of worry struggle lines and they aren’t loaded down with stress weight.

Clearly “bedwenching” has it’s benefits, does it not?
