On Vetting: “How the Heck Do You Do That?!”

Green Grass Seekers

Now I also have to address this issue of feeling like you’re missing out on something better because your involved with someone. This is a catch 22…you don’t want to settle for someone you don’t think you can build a future with, but you also don’t want to be a “green grass seeker,” constantly looking over your shoulder to see if the next guy is going to be your golden unicorn. When you’re young and firm, knock yourself out. But that shite can’t last forever. Just remember that the greener grass you seek might just be dead weeds covered by spray paint.

And finally, because I don’t think I’m some know-it-all who preaches down from on high, I took the effort to ask some male friends of mine what they would tell their daughters about vetting. You’re welcome.

“Be aware of possessive men who don’t want you to better yourself. Also be aware of men who are not going anywhere, be with someone who has a plan for his life and you see has his head on right. Never go with a man who is all about swag and bling and uneducated since those things don’t pay the bills and make your relationship last, only educated men and not thugs can bring sucess and prosperity to the future of you and your family.”
